Cat Fish Chapter 3: The Contest

A week went by. It was around lunch time. Kitty found Zoey sitting on the beach, her eyes locked on something in the water.
"What are you looking at, Zoey?"
"Dudley. Today is the big contest!" She screamed.
"So? It's not that big."
"They 5,000 dollars! I get that in 1 year!"
"Ok."
Kitty sat with Zoey. Dudley was a really good surfer. He did a backflip and landed in a hand-stand. Everyone clapped for him and yelled his name. All his friends were waving him on and holding posters.
"God, he's so hot!" Zoey yelled.
Zoey stood up and so did Kitty. Dudley came onto the beach. The waves pushed him toward Kitty. She backed up and he smiled at her.
"Hey." He said picking up his board.
"Hi. Nice surfing."
"Thanks. Took my forever to learn some of that."
"Look's pretty easy."
"You want to try."
"No...I can't get wet."
Before Dudley could answer all his friends came up to him. THe score was ready to go. Zoey grabbed a microphone and told who won.
"And the winner is...Dudley Puppy!"
Dudley got his money and put his surf board away. Then, Zoey walked up to him.
"Dudley, you're awsome out there!"
"Thanks...Hey, where's that other cat you hang out with?"
"Kitty? She's over there."
Dudley walked over to her. Kitty was close to the water, but she was to busy thinking.
"Kitty?" Dudley asked tapping her.
"Huh? Oh hi, Dudley."
"So, why can't you get wet?"
"I....Um...Never learned how to swim."
"I can teach you."
"No thanks...I just...can't."
"Why not?"
Before Kitty could answer, water touched her feet. She looked down and so did Dudley. Kitty's legs began to shake a little.
"I have to go."
Kitty ran off before Dudley could do anything. Kitty made it far enough for no one to see her. She fell down and her fin grew out. She saw the ocean. She crawled over to the water, and swam.
"That was a close one."
